Internet Connection
Wireless networks:
Currently there are several public wireless networks that
may be accessible during ETAPS. These networks are:
FIBNETLESS: This is the public wireless network of the Computer Science
Faculty. It will be accessible in the building A5 (first floor and
basement), in the building C6, where the Sala d'actes is, and in some areas
of the C5 and C6 (mainly in the basement). In particular, during the
weekends, the room A5103 can be used for wireless connections to this
net.
WIRELESS-LSI: This is a small wireless network that will be installed
in the Vertex Building during the main conferences and covering the
rooms 107, 109 (except on Thursday April 1, when this room will not be
available) and 110, in the first floor of that building.
UPC-xarxaPublica This is the public wireless network of the UPC. It is
not fully working yet, but during the main conferences it will be
accessible in the surroundings of the Aula Master (Building A3). It may
happen to be accesible in other areas of the Campus, like in the Vertex
building.
Instructions for connecting to these nets will be provided at the
conference.
Computer rooms:
Several computer rooms will be accessible during the main conferences
(Monday to Friday, from 9 to 17:30). They are all located at the Vertex
Building. In particular, these are
the rooms VS 208 (floor -2) and 107, 109 (except on Thursday April 1,
when this room will not be available) and 110 (first floor).
In addition, it is also possible to connect a laptop (with physical
wires) at room C6S304, in the basement of
the C6 Building.
