How to Reach Genova

Genova is easily reachable from any part and with any kind of transports.

FS logo The cost is served by the line Ventimiglia-Genova-La Spezia; which extends the connections with the Costa Azzurra and with the Tirrenian coast. The lines Genova-Torino and Genova-Milano connect the capital of Liguria with the North Italy and the whole Europe.
The main train stations of Genova are “Genova Principe” and Genova “Brignole”.

By Plane
Airport     The airport of Genova “Cristoforo Colombo” is the most rapid and immediate connection with the other Italian and European towns.

   There are daily direct flights for Roma, Milano Malpensa, Napoli, Zurich, London Gatwick, London Stansted (very cheap by Ryan Air), Paris CDG, and Munich.

The airport is located at Sestri Ponente, 6 km from the center of the town (15-30 m). It is connected with the town by the AMT bus line 100 «Volabus», which runs each half hour from the airport to piazza Verdi - in front of the train station “Brignole” - and back.

By Bus from a Different Airport

Daily connections between “Piazza della Vittoria” and the airports of Nice (France) and Milan Malpensa (Italy).
Piazza della Vittoria is very near to the railway station “Genova Brignole” from where city bus are available to the center.

Airport It is possible to reach Genova by the sea. Ferries from the main ports of th Mediterrean Sea reach and sail from the “Stazione Marittima”.
