After the recent successful editions in Luxembourg and Hamilton, the 29th edition of ETAPS will take place in Turin, Italy, from April 11 to 16, 2026. ETAPS 2026 is organized by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Turin. The Department is the centre coordinating research, teaching, dissemination and technological transfer in computer science. It covers both methodological and application-oriented aspects of computer science and conducts research across several interdisciplinary areas.
Nestled between the Alps and the River Po, Turin (Torino in Italian) is a city of elegance, innovation, and history. Once the first capital of Italy and the home of the FIAT automobile company, Turin today is a dynamic hub of research, technology, design, and culture—a place where past and future meet harmoniously.
Visitors will find themselves surrounded by grand baroque squares, tree-lined boulevards, and historic cafés. Turin is the birthplace of the bicerin (a layered chocolate and coffee drink) and of the famous gianduiotto chocolate. The city is also known for its refined cuisine and wines from the nearby Langhe region, such as Barolo and Barbaresco.
Art and culture lovers can explore world-class museums like the Egyptian Museum—second only to Cairo’s—or the Mole Antonelliana, the city’s architectural icon housing the National Museum of Cinema.

Satellite events will take place during the weekend of April 11–12, 2026, ahead of the main conferences. They will be hosted at ITS Torino—Via Jacopo Durandi 10, 10144 Torino, a campus where students can put their knowledge into practice through labs and group projects.
In addition to its modern facilities, the campus is very easy to reach: it is only a few stops from the city centre, a five-minute walk from the metro, and conveniently accessible from Porta Susa railway station.
Main conferences and collocated events will be held from April 13 to 16, 2026, at the Centro Congressi Lingotto—Via Nizza, 280, 10126 Torino, one of Turin’s most remarkable landmarks.
Originally the main FIAT factory, the building was transformed by the renowned architect Renzo Piano into a modern multipurpose complex that now hosts conference spaces, galleries, hotels, and cultural venues.
The Giovanni Agnelli Auditorium will host plenary sessions, while adjacent halls and meeting rooms will accommodate workshops, poster sessions, and informal gatherings—all under one roof.
The Lingotto Congress Centre is easily accessible via the metro (Line 1, stop Lingotto) and is well connected to the city centre, railway stations and Turin Airport. Within walking distance, participants will find restaurants, shops, and green spaces—perfect for relaxation after the sessions.
Attending ETAPS 2026 also means discovering the charm of Turin and its surroundings.
After the day’s sessions, participants can stroll through the city’s historic arcades, enjoy a coffee in a 19th-century café, or dine in a traditional osteria. Spring is an ideal season to visit—mild temperatures, blooming parks, and lively streets make for an inviting atmosphere.
Those wishing to extend their stay will find the Langhe hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, less than an hour away—home to breathtaking landscapes, vineyards, and some of Italy’s finest cuisine.
